Visiting a church for the first time can come with a lot of questions. At Columbus First Christian Baptist, we want your first visit to be as comfortable and welcoming as possible.
Whether you've attended church your entire life, haven't been in years, or are simply curious about Christianity, you're welcome to join us.
We're a local congregation of believers on the southside of Columbus who gather to worship God, study His Word, pray together, and encourage one another in our walk with Christ. We'd love the opportunity to meet you and your family!

What to Expect
When you arrive, you'll find a congregation of people from different ages and walks of life. We're a smaller church, which gives us the opportunity to get to know one another personally.
You don't have to know anyone before you arrive, and you don't need to be familiar with our services. Just come in, find a seat, and join us!
Location
Columbus First Christian Baptist is located on Parsons Avenue in Hamilton Township, just south of Obetz Road and north of Rathmell Road. Our church sits slightly down a hill in th middle of a 7 acre field, set back from the road, but is easily visible from Parsons Avenue. We look forward to welcoming you!
What do I wear?
There's no special dress code to attend. We simply encourage you to come in something comfortable and appropriate for worship. You'll find people wearing a variety of clothing, from casual attire to their Sunday best.
Parking
Our parking lot is located down the hill, beside the church. As you turn off Parsons Avenue, follow the driveway toward the building. Our driveway also extends all the way around the church, making it easy to access the parking area and navigate the property.
What happens in services?
Our services include congregational and special singing, prayer, and Holiness preaching.
We believe God's Word should be at the center of everything we do. Our preaching and teaching focus on understanding Scripture and applying its truths to everyday life.
Our worship is traditional in its foundation, with an emphasis on sincere worship rather than performance.
You won't be asked to introduce yourself publicly or singled out because you're visiting. If you have questions, we'll be glad to help, but we want you to feel comfortable getting to know us at your own pace.
Arrival Time
We recommend arriving a few minutes before the service begins. This will give you time to park, make your way inside, and find a seat. Feel free to introduce yourself to someone while you're here! And if you're running a little late, don't worry. You're always welcome to join us, even after the service has started.
What about Families?
Families and children are an important part of our congregation.
We believe church should be a place where children can learn about Jesus, build relationships, and grow in their understanding of God's Word.
Our Sunday School provides opportunities to study the Bible and grow in faith. Classes meet for about 60 minutes prior to the service.
Children are always welcome at our services! We encourage parents and children to participate in our worship services as a family, learning, singing, and growing in their faith together.
We also understand that little ones can sometimes get restless, and that's perfectly okay! We want families to feel comfortable and welcome, knowing that children are an important part of our church family. We understand that families with young children sometimes need a little flexibility during a service. There is a nursery available for those that need to go out but we love to hear the little children and let them come to Jesus.
